The effect of hot stamping pressure on the quality of hot stamping paper

Issuing time:2019-11-07 10:18

In fact, the hot stamping process itself is the process of using the temperature and pressure to quickly peel off the bronzing paper from the base film and then transfer it to the substrate. There are three aspects of the whole hot stamping process: one is the peeling force generated when the bronzing paper is peeled off from the base film layer; the other is the bonding force between the bronzing paper and the substrate; the third is the substrate (such as the printed ink) The adhesion of the surface of the layer, white paper).

The previous article mentioned that temperature is the influence of hot stamping paper. We know that temperature is one of the important factors affecting the hot stamping effect of hot stamping paper, and pressure is also one of the important factors affecting the hot stamping effect of hot stamping paper. What is the effect of the pressure applied during the hot stamping process? The effect can be large. First, the hot stamping pressure can ensure that the bronzing paper can adhere to the substrate, and the hot stamping pressure can cut the hot stamping portion of the bronzing paper.

When the hot stamping pressure is too large, the compression deformation of the liner and the substrate is too large, and the print is easy to be thick, stuck, and paste. When the hot stamping pressure of the hot stamping paper is insufficient, the hot stamping paper cannot be perfectly transferred to the hot stamped material, and the phenomenon of embossing and stenciling is prone to occur. In general, the hot stamping pressure of hot stamping paper should be based on the principle of no fading and smooth edges. The adjustment should be from small to large.

How to set the stamping pressure during the hot stamping process? This should take into account the nature of the bronzing paper, the speed of the machine, the hot stamping temperature, the surface condition of the substrate (such as the smoothness of the paper, the amount of white ink added during printing, the thickness of the printed ink layer) and other factors. Generally speaking, when the machine speed is fast, the hot stamping temperature is low, the paper smoothness is low, and the ink layer on the surface of the printed matter is thick, the hot stamping pressure of the hot stamping paper should be appropriately increased. On the contrary, the hot stamping pressure of the hot stamping paper should be reduced.
